The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. I was following my routine as usual with a hope of getting labour pains to be started soon. And there it was. I still remember the mixed feeling of joy and pain when my labour started. I was excited too. It was 11.15 at night when it started. I took the pains overnight till 6.30 in the morning. One thing I didn’t forget was breathing and squatting as instructed by my yoga trainer, thanks a tonne! I took the pains in a very sporty way; the hospital staff was also astonished to see this.  The long journey didn’t end here. When my contractions were in full swirl, I was taken to the labour room and then what happened was implausible for me and my husband who was a grave shore up during my pregnancy and labour.  I delivered my baby in just 8 minutes. I think my little adorable daughter was fervent to come in this world. No words can express the beauty and majesty of motherhood. God has completed me with a beautiful blessing. Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother.

Joining Birth and Beyond classes was one of the wisest steps that me and my husband had taken for our baby’s successful and safe arrival into this world. After meeting Ms. Neeru we felt confident that we were making a right decision. Once the classes started, each day bought a new confidence in me, I got relevant and helpful information about pregnancy and childbirth. I often asked various queries throughout my pregnancy and got proper respond to that, I was able to overcome my worries, fears, questions and insecurities. Specially my concern about successful and natural delivery of a healthy baby as I was already 30 plus at that time and I heard that late age deliveries used to be complicated. But under the guidance of Neeru maam I overcome all this, she made me believe in my body and ignite the confidence in me that I can do it. Read More

RABIA

Two weeks short of my due date, my little one decided to come into this world without any warning. My scan that was taken 2 day back showed no signs of the baby being ready to descend. Just like that, one fine night I went to bed and woke up in the middle of the night with mild contractions that I thought were Braxton Hicks. this would have been the first time I would’ve experienced false contraction. But after two hours of steady progress in the pain, I had to call my doctor. I thought I needed something to ease the pain so i can go back to sleep.
Upon doing an internal exam (also my first one), it turned out I was already 3cms dilated. From here on, it all happened so quickly that my birth plan went in the bin. I had no time for an epidural. Within the next hour I was taken to the labor room. when the second internal exam was done, the water bag ruptured.
I was by now 8 cms dilated. At his point my doctor said, “show me what squats they taught you in class”. A couple of spasms in the squatting position and there it was – the miracle of life.
After 3 hours of active labor and 5 hours of total labor, my son was on my belly. I had no time to wrap my head around what just happened and how quickly everything changed. Through out my classes with Neeru Ma’am i would only hear other people’s stories of easy births and pray i was one of them. And my wish caught me by surprise. Thank you Neeru Ma’am.

HARSHITA

It is often said that being a mother is rebirth of women”. After experiencing this I completely agree to it. My sedentary lifestyle was replaced by regular fitness regime & despite of algophobia my labor pain is a testimony to above statement.I and my husband went to hospital at 3am on 4 April’16(Sunday night) and I was induced labor pains. But my induction was slow because of which the medication was increased. The saviour for me in the extreme pains was the breathing techniques I learned by joining my mentor Mrs.Neeru & my husband support during the entire process
As I was continuously reminded by my husband to focus on breathing. But the destiny has its own faith so even after bearing the long pain my baby’s heartbeat started going down and I had to go for emergency C-Section.And finally my baby was born at 2pm on 5th Apr’16(Tuesday afternoon). So I have experienced both normal and c-section in one go.
I was able to tolerate the pains of entire birthing process because of 3 reasons:-
(1) Because of exercise I was doing during pregnancy.
(2) My husband’s presence because he motivated me a lot.
(3) And the most important is to hold our beautiful princess in our hands.

PRACHI

For my darling daughter..
This is our birth story 🙂
When I found out I was pregnant I knew I wanted to have a normal delivery but I was very afraid of the concept. To relieve that fear I started looking for some yoga classes I could join during pregnancy and…. Voila !!! I found Rita’s pregnancy 101. There I met Neeru, who played a vital part in my decision making about the delivery. On the morning of 12th December 2015, at around 5:30, I had my first contraction.. I waited 2 hours before telling this to your nani. She did an internal examination and told me that you will arrive soon.. May be in 3-4 hours ! I was ecstatic and started packing our bags ! Yes.. Ours.. One for each of us. Read More

I had a wonderful birthing experience and I would like to share it with all of you.

I joined P101 classes in my second trimester with Neeru Ma’am. I was given Exercise/Meditation classes which prepared me physically & mentally for the process of birthing.

I was guided through the Presentation classes with regard to my Diet, Baby care, Breast feeding and also how to handle myself during the Delivery process. I also did Squats till the last day which were very helpful.

My contractions started at midnight and I sailed smoothly through them because I focused on deep breathing as I was taught in the class.

I went to the hospital in the morning and was immediately taken to the delivery room. I had my baby within 1 hour of my arrival. My recovery post-delivery was also much faster due to the work put in earlier at the classes.

Thank you so much Neeru Ma’am for your constant encouragement, support and guidance.

Best Wishes,

Puneet Sekhon.

Stay focussed yet distracted, that’s how I will sum up my labor and delivery! As guided by Neeru mam I decided to distract myself from pain & stay focussed on the beautiful end. During pains I played cards, took walk outside my room, changed positions & beds with my attendants, ate chocolates, watched IPL. Every time contraction started I looked at the clock to count 45 seconds and breathe until over. Neither did I scream nor cry, so much so that my family thought I’m not having enough pains had informed the hospital staff & family that cesarean is not even an option!! when “the” time came I recalled that we have to push when we feel the urge & not when Read More

My pregnancy was initially not that bad. I had little morning sickness but nothing really bad. Before my pregnancy i was really thin and i gained alot of weight during my pregnancy. I could feel that i wasn’t that active anymore and even doing something very little seemed like a task. Around the beginning of my 5th month i had severe pain in my back and it travelled all the way to my leg. Turned out it was my sciatic nerve and i was in extreme pain because of it. That’s when my doctor told me about Sanchi and how yoga might help. I went to her classes and it was one of the best decisions. Not only did i get relief from my pain but i also started feeling active and positive. The classes were fun as well as so informative. Read More

I came to know about Sanchi’s prenatal classes through a common friend when i was very keen to join something related to yoga during my 1st trimester .
I began classes in the starting of my 2nd trimester (4month). From the very first day of class i felt a connect with Sanchi her postivity , beautiful aura made my decision firm of attending classes. though i could physically attend classes for just a week (due to medical reasons) but i kept my regularity through online sessions.
It helped me alot to maintain a discipline in my journey of bedrest and calmness while being connecting online. Sanchi was always a call away whenever i faced any problem.
The yoga sessions, information sessions were very helpful. Even the interactions through online class was much helpful and made me positive througout my pregnancy.

To begin with i would like to thank and express my sincere gratitude to Neeru mam and Sanchi mam. I started my yoga sessions in 8th month of pregnancy online though not soo regular but still i could see changes in my body.

As soon as i started with my 9th month i started practicising yoga with Sanchi mam offline and became regular with it. The last 1 month practice only helped me soo much that i Delivered Normal child and also without taking any epidural.

All thanks to these two people under whose guidance it was all possible. Looking forward to there post natal classes now to get back in shape. (Hoping it starts soon)

Our baby’s birth story is a bit long but bear with it .. (We will cherish forever!! 🩷🩷)
We found out in 34th week that our baby is in breech presentation and if it continues then I cannot deliver naturally. I discussed with my gynae & radiologist ,googled and researched that it’s very rare to get the baby in the right position after this week, I was bit disappointed… 😞 😞(because after attending yoga sessions with Sanchi and Lamaze classes with Neeru ma’am I was highly motivated to deliver naturally).
On some days my overthinking led me to feel doctors can’t be wrong ,they are telling with their experience.
But Sanchi never left the hope. Before & after the yoga sessions we did specific exercises to turn the baby upside down , with her guidance did music and laser techniques to make this happen …
My gynaecologist and radiologist both gave up after the scan in the 36th week saying baby will not turn now … they prepared me saying it’s ok to have C-sec don’t get disheartened… Read More
Hey everyone. I used to get excited and anxious at the same time reading the birthing stories that new mommies used to post every now and then in the group. Now that I’ve become a mommy, I’m sooo excited to share mine. I delivered my baby girl on June 21st.
I came for a regular 39th week checkup at Cloudnine on June 20th and Dr Seema suggested that I’ll deliver on the 26th June as the baby was all ready to come (I was 1cm dilated). Also, not to forget the internal done by Dr Seema was the biggest scare I got before delivering (some of the friends explained that it will be a terror) 🤣. It was not at all painful and the way Dr motivates , makes you confident to a next level.Me and my friend chilled, went to Ketliwala for some maggi and chai ☕️ Read More
